Investors’ 16 lakh crore wiped out
Today, investors faced a massive blow of approximately 16 lakh crores in the market’s sharp decline. When the market closed on April 4, 2025, the market capitalization of BSE listed companies was 4,03,34,886.46 crores rupees. However, during today’s market sell-off at 9:40 AM, this dropped to 3,87,15,236.87 crores rupees. In other words, investors incurred a loss of 16 lakh crores rupees.
